Join this special workshop on ways to use the music you dance to to your advantage. Led by Sofiane Sylve and Ming Luke, this session will provide practical techniques on how to approach and think about the music used in dance. Dancers and musicians often feel like they’re speaking different languages; learn how to bridge that gap as you continue to work on connecting to the music and being a more musical dancer.
- Rhythm and intention – using the elements of music to better connect to the music.
- Is there a right way to count the music? How musicians and dancers think differently and alike about counts.
- Connecting the quality of the music to the quality of your step
- And more!
The session is $10. To register for this session, please click here. Once you have registered, you will receive a zoom link on the day of the session.
